Artist History
Evan has been playing guitar with various bands since the mid 60s. In the mid 70s he became a solo performer utilizing bass pedals, guitar, flute, harmonica, and drum machines. Recently he has stopped performing in bars and has stuck to writing and recording. He has briefly abandoned the electric guitar and has fallen in love with the classical. You can hear him often play for free at the beach. "Spirits in the Sky" is his first CD. It is a collection of songs he composed while watching sunsets at Wasaga Beach, Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada. It's a good feeling piece of work, very relaxing at the same time very rhythmic even though he did not use percussion. Evan is first and formost a songwriter. He has his own style that encompasses pop, r&b, country, classical and sometimes world music. In the next CD to begin in the fall of 2003, you will hear a very romantic story, this time with vocals and percussion. So please drop by again, and enjoy the music. |

Press Reviews
Mp3 Andy Shmidt of "Eclectic Connection" wrote:
This Toronto,Ontario, composer and guitarist extraordinaire offers a dozen tracks
that combine classical styles with jazz and new age sounds. The product is
thoroughly enjoyable-whether you're playing it while working or have the luxury
of just kicking back and really "absorbing" it.

Evan Paul Kozaris
"Ripples"
"We see them in the water... we feel them in our lives".
His wonderful acoustic guitar melodies drift over you like the southern breeze
in a summer's night dream. No word can really express the relaxing journey
Evan can take you on with his magic velvet touch on the strings of his classical
guitar. The spirit of the music takes you on a journey to a much better place and time.
Although his material is listed as New Age it is really more of a pure form of guitar and
acoustic instruments playing a very mellow soft touch blend of jazz, classical, funk, soul,
Latin, rock and country as well as world music. This is a marvelous album to kick back and
listen to just about any time.
Majestic in its scope it is very uplifting and has a professional high quality recorded sound.
I would recommend this artists whole page I have listened to it many times and can not find a
song I don't enjoy listening to.

The Classical Guitar Stylings of Evan Paul Kozaris
I just got to hear this breath taking music from Evan Paul Kozaris (Sunset),
a truly gifted and great composer of classical guitar music. It simply must
be heard as words are hard to describe this beautiful, inspiring and spiritualy
uplifting music.
