Artist History
From Los Angeles to Paris via London, Eric Marx worked in studio with Trevor Vallis, Producer for Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, The Cure; John Avila from Oingo Bongo; Brian Levy, Producer for Dwight Yoakam, Billy Idol; Collin Mitchell, Sound Engineer for No Doubt and Arthur Harris, Producer for Ice-Cube & the Neville Brothers.
He has done numerous recording sessions with Bands and Solo Artists at Paramount Studio, Westlake Studio & Clear Lake Audio in Los Angeles, Turning Point Studio in London and Le Chesnay in Paris, just to name a few.
Eric Marx scored in Los Angeles "Fly" and "BeIt" (ESPN Japan) directed by Alessandro Mercuri for Mercuri Park Production; "Rocket V" directed by Kyle Shurge. He also scored and performed the soundtracks of "9-11, The tribute" and "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde" for Mark Melanson Production (Los Angeles).
Eric has also an extensive live experience. He performed regularly at the Roxy, Troubadour, Whiskey, Knitting Factory, Spaceland in Los Angeles, and at the Rex Club, Locomotive, Gibus in Paris.
Eric Marx was also for several years a Music Journalist for the french magazine "Guitares & Claviers" in Paris.
He is the co-creator of the Night-Event "Art & Music" in Hollywood featuring DJs, Painters, Photographers and Bands.
Eric Marx is now the owner of MIlky Way Production: a music production company which delivers custom music fo bands, solo artists, movie soundtracks, video games, radio, tv programs and all sort of live events.
As a Keyboard Player-Programmer-Composer Eric works on all sorts of gear from Akai sampler to custom drum loops to vintage keys, accoustic piano and keyboards. He is a Cubase VST/ Mac Powerbook fan but also works on several other programs and computers.
As a former Manager for Music Law Firms and Bands in Los Angeles, he is now managing some artist friends.
