Artist History
This is a band that the many say started with a
night in Rocktown (don't look at the map!).
There are many phenomina in this universe that
can't be fully explained; this is definitely one
of them.
Deep in the wilderness of Northwest Missouri lies
a town by the name of Mound City (now you can look
at the map), and deep in the bowels of this city
lies the secret lair of Crying Stones.
The harvest was plentiful but the workers were few,
so in one small step for God, one giant leap for
mankind, and a long period of waiting and hoping,
Crying Stones became what they are today.
Sorting through players like the MLB through their
contracts, "The Stones" came down to their "Final
Four." They started with Ben, Kent, and Shaun.
Shaun left. Sam assumed "the throne." Ben, in an
effort to make "The Stones" that much more than a
three piece, added a guitar player to play a
little rhythm and sing a little background.
The band now included Ben Montgomery as the lead
guitar/lead vocals, Kent Barnett as the Bassist,
Sam Montgomery (Ben's little bro) on drums, and
Chris Hendrix their new rhythm guitar/back-up
vocals. Kent soon decided to follow his dreams
elsewhere, and departed from the band. Bradley
Wilson would fill his size 10 shoes. Now it
sounds like these guys are on their way.
Crying Stones started small; talent shows and the
like. But eventually through Gods grace and mercy
they began to gain some popularity in the small
Northern Missouri area.
Crying Stones aren't crying. They're not sad, or
upset because they're laundry was done wrong and
now they only have pink shirts that were
previously white to wear to concerts.
They are "Crying" out to the true "Stone" or Rock
that is their salvation. They tell Jesus Christ
that they love Him and wish that you would join
them alongside the road, even when no one else
will.
As they strive to take you (the audience) to that
place where God is, they promise that all of their
talent is given by God for the Glory of His Son
and their goal and focus is to see Him lifted up.
Thanks, "The Stones"
