Artist History Sheri Streeter is a 21-year-old songwriter, guitarist, singer, flutist and self-described freak. Born and raised in a small town in southwest Michigan, her passion for music began as a simple over-indulgence in raiding her parents' CD collection and playing the recorder like nobody's business. Sheri made her musical debut in elementary school performing in an ensemble, blowing on bottles filled with various levels of water and soon moved onto "real" instruments. Originally a band-geek armed with a flute, she never humored her mother's pleas to "stop playing that damn horn" until taking up guitar at 15. A few months later, she hit the stage solo for the first time at her high school's talent show for more than 500 of her classmates and teachers. Despite being scared as hell (Can you blame her?), she instantly fell in love with the stage while covering Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time." A year later, she wrote her first "real" song as an in-class assignment. For the next few years, Sheri found herself studying psychology in a failed attempt to postpone adulthood, only to leave the comforts of her security blanket after a major illness forced her to stay home with her guitar and bond for several months. The long awaited reunion led her to reconsider her life-long dream with renewed potential.
