Artist History
Well this band started a couple years back and
has had some of its ups and downs, but in the end
we found a good line up and made some great tunes
to jam out to. It all started in the fall of 2001;
I, Pat, and former guitarist and bassist,
Mike Martin and Joe Coleman, teamed up with local
drummer Mike Dibella after just leaving a previous
cover band. We were kickin and ready to write our
own songs with our new member, so we got to work.
Being young though only 14 and 15, at the time,
we didn't know what, when, or how to write, so it
took us a while to figure it out. We practiced in
a tiny room at our drummer's house in Andover NJ
and eventually put together some songs; they spoke
of the world and what we thought of it (government
, society, life, the norm). After weeks of
practicing and playing just for friends in
the small room we decided it was time to record
our ideas; so we put together a demo using our
drummer's dad's recording equipment at his house.
We did it fast and very low budget but it came out
alright. Soon after the demo we had landed our
first show. Things seemed to be going well we
had made a demo, we got our first gig, but we
had two problems: our guitarist Mike seemed to
become bored with the band (he would not show up
or want to co-operate) and we hadn't come up with
a name yet. We actually came up with many
different names but never liked just one so
finally the day we had to call the guy for the
venue we came up with the name Public Disturbance,
and as for Mike M, well he didn 't work out so
well; it took several kick outs and let back
ins to figure that out. We did try out a good
friend Bill Hermann for the guitar though,
he didn't seem to work out at the time but he
will play an important roll in the band later.
Even though we lost a member, we still played
our first show as a three peace, under the name
Public Disturbance at (I would hate to say it)
obsessions. But Mike D, Joe, and I put on a
good show; people seemed to like us, so we
continued on with writing and getting more shows.
Unfortunately though all good things must slow
down; Joe (bass) seemed to fade away from the band,
he couldn't find the time for it, so me and
Mike D were forced to go out and search for
new members. The search was hard and long, people
were dicks(pardon the pun) . We jammed with
various people from everywhere and we even left
for other bands but nothing seemed to be the same
as Public Disturbance. So giving up on a band and
starting to just write on my own acoustically
I felt kind of down. Until one day, guess
who's back, my friend bill asked me if I would
like to go watch a band he was forming practice,
interested I said yes. When I went there I must
admit I thought it would be kind of bad but I was
surprised, they actually were pretty good and knowing
bill previously wanted to in the old band with me
I later asked him if he would want to jam with me
and good old Mike Dibella. Of course he said yes,
knowing there would be more potential with us
teaming up, and he brought along his ba ssist Rob
Osbourne who was pretty talented, especially for
only playing for a little over a year. They both
seemed pretty excited and ready to get to serious
work with me and Mike. After a couple practices
we brought back some P.D. songs but gave them a
new flare that Bill and Rob added, and it worked
out well. Soon after a couple more practices we
got to work on new songs and put them down.
We later recorded our new songs and put together
a new demo, then it was just a wait for a show
and eventually we prevailed. We got our first
show with the new band at the Hainesburg inn
(thanks to a friend band X's for Eyes) under
the decided name No\More!!! (meaning no more of
what ever you want it to be). After the show people
seemed to like us and we were asked to play
upcoming shows, so we played. Now we have a good
line up as well as serious members and are kickin
and ready to play any show; we are also putting
together more and more songs; constant work.
It took a while but now for a band I think we
are set.
