Artist description
Leslie Clemmons
With A passion for good music, family, good food,
and 'just being real', New Orleans born Leslie Clemmons
is ready to unveil her debut album "Stop The World".
Having enjoyed success with an international musical
theatre career, she has come full circle- right where
she started and always wanted to be- in Pop music.
"Stop The World", co-written by her, and produced
by her husband Rod Clemmons, is a straight forward,
honest, 'real as dirt' collection of songs that give
you a good look into her heart and mind. "Interpret The Sky"
gives you a lot to chew on regarding the escalating chaos
of today's world. "Stop The World" the album's title track
is a reflective yet powerful offering that leads you to
search for what is really important in life. "Duplicity"
is a track peppered with bounce and hints of Hip Hop
which also lyrically expresses its meaning, two faced,
double minded.
"Stop The World" is an album full of songs with great
depth of lyrics, intense music, and vivid colors of
emotion; a not to be missed CD.

Artist History
A desire to use her voice like an instrument,
embracing the styles of Jazz, Blues, Pop and
Classical, is what has led New Orleans born
Leslie Clemmons to a versatile and successful
music career.
When she was all of two years old, Leslie began
mimicking every sound she would hear on the radio,
television, or movie musicals. Although her family
exposed her to Ballet, Jazz, Tap, acting and guitar
lessons, a routine normal for most talented children,
her passion always led her back to singing.
After growing up listening to artists from Pop, Rock,
Jazz & R& B, she went to college on a vocal scholarship
and was told she should study classical voice as a part
of her voice performance major at the University of South
Alabama. Soon, a love for musical theatre led her to study
at California State University at Fullerton and The American
Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. It was at
this point in her life when she began carving out a musical
theatre career for herself performing in such shows as
West Side Story, Sunday in the Park with George, The Sound of Music,
and the National Tour of Les Miserables.
It was not long after leaving Les Miz that
Leslie met and fell in love with her husband,
Record Producer, Rod Clemmons. Her relationship
with Rod led her to rediscover her original love
of pop and rock music. After writing many songs
together and with Rod at the helm as producer,
Leslie has completed her debut album,
“Stop The World”. With Leslie’s skillfully
crafted and sometimes in your face lyrics
and melodies, and the honest , pure, earthy,
and straight forward tracks that are her
producer husband’s trademarks, “Stop The World”
is a not to be missed first offering of
Leslie Clemmons.

" In Today's world of shallow lyrics and 'packaged' performers, Leslie Clemmons is a welcomed breath of fresh air. Her songwriting has depth and her talent is authentic"

"Her first track, 'Duplicity', brought her to your attention. Now with 'The Blind Lead The Blind' you'll really
get acquainted with Leslie Clemmons. This one's got a real nice pop
vibe with a very catchy. The right choice for a second single."
-FMQB Magazine
" I recently had the pleasure of booking Leslie Clemmons at Le Bar Bat in New York City. Leslie's performance
was electrifying. Her band was tight, yet loose,
but the most impressive thing was the way Leslie was able to hold the crowd of over 300 people. When the show
was over, people were still begging for more. As a booking agent/club owner, you can't ask for more.
