Artist description
Heavy Water’s music is laced with classic metal
touches as well as the distinctive impact of the
group’s own writing. Their songs are carefully
crafted and each detail expertly executed.
Echoes of hard rock’s fathers can be heard in
the track “Our Demise,” while the band’s
political consciousness is apparent in the song
“With Honor,” which tackles the issue of
terrorism from a unique perspective. Heavy
Water is poised as the tie that links the past
and future of metal with one solid, resounding
voice.
The band finds its strength not only in the
accomplished musicianship of its members but
also in the potent songwriting skills they each
bring into the fold. Each of them is trained in
his instrument and has a versatile musical
background encompassing many musical genres.
These able and talented musicians are sure to
knock your socks off. |

Artist History
Heavy Water formed after guitarists Dave DiNiro
and Alex Schuster, along with singer Ren Mercado,
realized that they had outgrown the rhythm
section of their then current band. They
recruited their friend Steve Tyzko on bass and
his brother, drum prodigy Mike Tyszko, to fill in
the band. With a common love for metal gods
such as Metallica, Alice in Chains, and Black
Sabbath, Heavy Water keeps the tradition of hard
rock and metal alive. |
