Artist History
At age 14 Robert began learning drums, playing to his favorite MTV bands and bands like Rush and the Beatles. At 16 he switched instruments and self taught himself the keyboard, and began listening to Depeche Mode. He formed a 2-person group and began writing songs. In 1989 he began playing clubs and parties as a solo artist. In 1991, he formed a group with his brother Chris on drums named Primary with Robert playing Bass, Vocals, and Synthesizers. Also with Eddie Canavan on Guitar. The band Primary then went through a series of personnel changes, starting with Eddie's departure and the addition of new Guitar and Bass players that came and went over time. All this time Robert and Chris continued playing as Primary with different members, playing clubs in southern California area. In 2000, the two parted ways. In the next few years Robert continued to play and write and in 2003 he completed a new set of songs to continue his solo career. |
