Cindy has a warm, rich tone that is distinctive and powerful. Her ballads are laced with raw emotion and her lyrics are intelligent, timely and witty. After many years of performing and writing locally, and nationally, she has embarked on a solo career in which she is writer, performer, arranger, and producer. On top of all this she also plays a great bass guitar.
Cindy is an accomplished singer, songwriter and bassist. She is in demand locally and nationally. After attending the Minnesota Music Tech for bass and music theory she has moved on to share the stage with some of the most prominent talents in music. Nationally, she has shared the stage with Bonnie Raitt, Sheila E., Alexander O’Neill, Bruce Willis, Jerome "Bigfoot" Brailey(George Clinton), Kathy Jensen,(Prince’s New Power Generation), Cynthia Johnson (“Funky Town”, Lipps Inc.) Margaret Cox(Tamara and The Scene), and local favorites, Debbie Duncan, The Steele Family, Lamont Cranston, Ipso Facto, Jamerica , Kat Klub, the late Rick O’Dell and countless others. Members of her band include some of Minnesota's premier musicians: Kenny Rardin on lead guitar, Tommy Hunter on Hammond/keys, Marc Ziegenhagen on piano, Bob Galombeck on bass, Brad Steine, drums, Lecily McKee, and Phyllis Rutter on background vocals. The lineup is stellar and the CD is packed with incredible writing and performances. CD will be available in August, 2003. Recorded at Terrarium Studios right here in Mineapolis, and it is being mixed and mastered by none other than master engineer, Bruce A Miller from Electric Lady and Quad Studios, in New York. |
