Artist description
Paul Meredith began playing guitar as a boy; growing up in rural Michigan provided a background
rich in American folk traditions. His passion for
peace and justice issues often serves as a
backdrop for his songs, which have played on radio
in Hong Kong, America and Europe. Paul Meredith
is strongly attracted to music's power to enhance
communication and understanding - reflecting the
enduring legacy of the vision of folk and rock
music's "golden age." His CD releases are
Spiritual Springtime (1996), Waiting for a
Chinese Sun... to Shine (1999), and Shadows of
Belgrade (2001). Paul lives with his family in Shanghai, China.

Press Reviews
"Paul Meredith has recently written and produced his third CD album, "Shadows of Belgrade."
Being "in the biz" I am an avid devourer of a diverse range of non-Springboard CD output. Much of what I hear is uninspiring and formulaic. This album
is anything but. Without a doubt his finest work
to date, this 16 track album is a sublime mix of
humour and social observation contemporary songs (protest songs they are not) delivered with fine
guitar, clear vocals, and underpinned by a smooth
production technique. From the lyrical beauty of
the title track "Shadows of Belgrade" to the
evocative "Where My Country Lies" this collection
is a delight. If you care about good music then
support this talented man's work and buy this CD.
This is an unsolicited testimonial. There's
nothing in this for me. I care passionately about
quality music covering a wide range, and this work
should be recognised. There's no telling where
this man's work will lead, but I feel there is a
lot more yet to come.
Musically Yours, as ever,
Geoff"
