Sounds reminiscent of The Talking Heads, the presence of P-Funk and the zaniness of Frank Zappa are all swirled into songs that are quirky yet totally accessible. McKay has performed as singer, songwriter and guitarist in a variety of original and cover bands but with this CD he presents his own vision. Working with producer Tommy Osuna, a winner of the 2001 John Lennon Songwriting Contest, meant that the proper vibrations n’ sensations were captured on the recording for sure. McKay combines wide-ranging influences and experiences to create a Cosmic Funk-Pop sound that is pure ear candy. People sing along to the words before they even know them.
