Sounds of Imani is a contemporary gospel
vocal/music group in Detroit, Michigan. Gerald
& Carol Ervin, along with their band, minister
with a powerful anointed sound that brings forth
a true freedom in praising God. They enjoy using
their God-given talent in music to tear down
bondages and strongholds that the enemy uses
to keep people bound. They are versatile in gospel-

Artist History
Imani is an African word meaning "faith" and this
group lives up to its name. Sounds of Imani has
ministered at the Michigan State Fair, Farmer Jack
MotorCity Praisefest, Northwestern High School's
Soul Day, American Cancer Society's Relay For Life;
as well as many other venues in Metro Detroit.
This group began ministering in 1996. Gerald has performed background vocals for the Floaters,
Detroit Emeralds, Flaming Emeralds, The Gospel
Travelers and many others. Carol has served as
praise & worship leader and musician for a number
of choirs and churches. Sounds of Imani's latest release "Revelation" is
powerfully orchestrated for such a time as this.
