Artist History Steve and Jon Rodgers have been friends since before they could talk, and gigging since before they could drive. Together, along with a host of other characters, they have been Mighty Purple for the last ten years. That time has seen numerous successful indie projects, a major label release and two solo projects. What has carried them on for 11 years is their emotion packed live shows. At a pace of more than 200 dates a year, the brothers built a viciously faithful fan base. Their relentless, “living out of a van” touring has included opening gigs for the likes of Dave Matthews, The Wallflowers, The Cranberries, Guster, Third Eye Blind, Ben Harper, Juliana Hatfield and more.
