Artist description
Christopher Laro is an award winning writer, filmmaker, and actor. His film 'Oscar Phitkin (A Vendor's Tale)' was voted 'Best Feature on Video' at the 1998 NY Film Festival. He was also awarded 'Best Actor' for his performance in the film. Laro wrote, directed, and acted the lead in the film. 'Angels of the Kitchen' is Laro's first Audio Play. His novel, 'The Blarney Boys,' will be published in July 2003. |

Artist History
Christopher Laro has been writing since he was a young child. Laro has both the neurobiological disorder Tourette's Syndrome and Bi-Polar affective disorder. Both fuel his potent creativity. Christopher studied acting at the Actor's Studio with Susan Grace Cohen and appeared in the major motion picture 'Mortal Thoughts' starring Demi Moore and Bruce Willis. Laro portrayed the character of 'Joey' - Willis' brother in the film. Laro's novel 'The Blarney Boys' is a study of elderly alcoholic men who gather daily at the Blarney Stone Bar in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. The men are attempting to escape the pain of their pasts, however, when they meet a Jesuit Priest, he convinces them to find redemption. |
