Musical Influences Van Morrison, Beatles, Sunny Day Real Estate

Artist History Born in Lake Charles, LA on June 2, 1980. Began guitar lessons with Eric Sylvester at age 12. He started writing original songs at 13. While growing up, he and his best friend Colin would compose songs and play them for parents, babysitters, and people in their neighborhood. It was during high school when performing became his first priority. He joined the showchoir and performed for local events, parties, weddings, and he sang at funerals. At this time, he also played in a band called Yielding Pedestrians with friends, Lee Zimmerman and Jaime Porter. Along with performing originals they covered bands such as Urge Overkill and 311. After high school he lived in Baton Rouge, LA where he attended LSU. He played with the band, The Crestliners. They played gigs at Ritolo's and Chelsea's Bar. By 2000 he completed his first solo album. It was released in Lake Charles and sold 2,500 copies. In 2001 he reunited with Colin in Winston-Salem,NC. This is where he wrote many of the songs on his second album. A year later he moved to Austin, TX where he layed down the new tracks. Spring 2003, Chris finally made it to California where he promotes his upcoming release.
