Artist History
In 1985 a young man from Nashville named William Linton sent "Ocean of Dreams" to Hearts of Space, they loved it and aired it on a program entitled "Summer Light" and waited for more music. Traveler's Tales is the result. There is a gentleness about William Linton - a touch he has. You hear it immediately, within a few notes. Though he uses elements common in quiet, introspective music - softly swelling chords, bell-like tones, whispers of stellar wind, distant voices, rich sound currents - he conjures these things into clouds of tenderness and warmth, and creates a blissful kind of repose that's quite special. This is quintessential spacemusic. It finds a merging point between outerspace and innerspace imagery traveling in both at once. Side one is the more active, relatively speaking. Traveler's Tales I-V is a series of short journeys - gentle accelerations followed by weightless expansions. Lie down for the last four pieces, four favorites, four sublime "floats" - delicate sound spun loosely. materializing in slow motion, shifting languidly. It's wonderful music for deeply letting go....and drifting away. - HEARTS OF SPACE |

Press Reviews
"Its one of the most beautifully peaceful albums we've heard in some time." "This is quintessential spacemusic" - STEVEN HILL - MUSIC FROM THE HEARTS OF SPACE"Linton taps into the darker realms of the psyche in ways similar to Klaus Schulze or Brian Eno, then floats to the other end of the spectrum with a kind of radiant loveliness we might expect from Iasos or Constance Demby." "Every touch, tone, and technique in Linton's music is designed to free us from ego entrapment and lift us to the heights of serene innervision." - LEE UNDERWOOD - NEW FRONTIER MAGAZINE."William Linton has combined the best aspects of the meditative sound with the spacey electronic effects that capture the listener's conscious and subconscious mind. A must for all astral travelers!" - RICHARD GINSBURG - SYNTHETIC PLEASURES |
