    Press Reviews
"This band is the best of many worlds - indie rock, pop, emo - all blended evenly together and held by jazz chops and textures. These independent musicians know how to play, that's for sure. And they know how to sing and write solid melody lines, too (not commercial, boring, sing-alongs either. Authentic pop melodies). Somebody sign these kids already!! Because, before you know it, they're going to be picked up and made the Next Big Thing in the mainstream." Lollipop Magazine. "By worming their way through a maze of minor-keyed pop, with forceful playing and cascading harmonies, The Chase Theory assume the more mannered, melodic side of the emo thing...The Chase Theory have released one mighty fine disc that will inevitably attract national notice." Focus Magazine. "This trio kicks out some solid emo/indie rock with a very calm and melodic approach that seems very original to me...This band is definitely on the verge of something wonderful." Aversionline.com "...Matthew Burke's vocals are refreshing, and the band's straight rock is addictively melodic. Danny Burke's vocals back up nicely and create an almost atmospheric effect at times. Too abrasive to be emo, not straight enough to be guitar rock, not poppy enough for punk, The Chase Theory is just good. In Pursuit of Excellence is a quality record from a band whose limited resume may belie their real experience." FrictionMagazine.com "...This CD is, for lack of a better word, excellent...It's a blend of emo (emo is evident in the first song), with indie, alternative and "pop" (I hate using that word) vibes throughout the five songs. This material resembles some poppy Revelation stuff, while being much more diverse." Undevoured.com"This is what power indie rock is all about. Strong bass lines, melodious harmonized guitars, harmonized vocals and great song structures...this is a band that's going places." Nothing Left Fanzine.
