Artist description Lead guitarist Job Yacubian describes The Brewbaker's sound as 'custom rock steady.' Complex, improvisational and extremely danceable, the eight peice band deftly integrates elements of dub, roots, two-tone and classic ska. They stand firmly on the shoulders of Jamaica's pioneering rock steady reggae artists. But The Brewbakers bring their own rock sensibility and a whole lot of horn-powered funk to the stage.

Press Reviews In June of 1998, The Specials' frontman Neville Staple announced, "We're not going to play a damn thing unless you get them to do one more song...." Since then, The Brewbakers have been featured extensively in the Martha's Vineyard press and have been highlighted repeatedly by The Boston Globe. Their song Peculiar World began receiving airplay since this summer. It remains in top 25 rotation on Gavin Award-winning WMVY 92.7 after entering the chart in July.
