Artist History
In 1991, Wayne Gottstine, Kirk Rundstrom and Mitch Clay formed the core of Wichita's hard-hitting punk/metal group, Technicolor Headrush. After going through a series of drummers, the group latched onto the gifted John Ezelle. Soon after, the band went into seclusion and re-emerged as the area's pioneers of 90s alternative country. Their 1995 self-release, "The Great Alaskan Holiday," along with their powerhouse live performances, got Scroat Belly a deal with Insurgent Country's flagship label, Chicago's Bloodshot. |

Group Members
Mitch Clay, bassist, is the group's reigning metalhead, and used to be in a group called Knight. He still loves Dio! John Ezelle, drummer, can swing from metal to soft shuffle in 0.3 seconds flat. He has many children. Wayne Gottstine, vocalist and lead guitarist, former Sluggo and Winking Spaniard, pulls things out of his guitar that your mama would never let you keep. His mama has a shrine to Elvis. Kirk Rundstrom, vocalist and guitarist, used to kick beers off the bar at the Spot when he sang for Red Lizard. He is indescribable. |
