    Artist History
Olivia and Shana met through a phone call on Olivia's radio show. They wrote "No-Avail" and two others. Sharing the stage with the Smiffenpoofs, a Smith College A-capella group, MRC performed their three songs at the opening of Jittery's Coffee Bar to a surprised audience of 200. No one could hear them, but the duo's charm kept the audience standing in the same place for their set anyway. Later that year, John joined to add some low end and some musical eptitude. He tried to teach Olivia and Shana about have a steady rhythm, but they would not listen. Shana made an announcement in her class one day that she was looking for a drummer...skill not necessary, enthusiasm a must. That fit Ellen perfectly, so she learned a beat and we became the unit that is known as Mrs. Remote Control. Except we are broken up now, becuase the band graduated.
