Artist History
“Plavi orkestar” (Blue Orchestra) is one of the most popular bands from the territory of former Yugoslavia. Founded in Sarajevo, Bosnia in 1983. Since 1992 they released four albums with total sale of over 2 million copies on the markets of former Yugoslavia. They gave more than 1500 concerts in former Yugoslavia, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, Poland and other countries.
Their work has been rewarded many times. They received FIDOF (American union of international festivals award) for the best composer, CESME for the best song (nominated were also Chaka Khan, La Toya Jackson, Cool & the Gang, and Gazebo), Goodbye teens, and others.
The war stopped them in 1992.
In 1997,
Sasa Losic-Losa (vocal) regathered the band.
