Artist History
Born out of the former Nathan Whitt Band, Chief's Tale has emerged as one of North America's premier live venue acts. The band got its start as the backup band for Nathan Whitt whose 1997 album "Night & Day" spawned the Top 40 hit "Shadow Jumpin" in May of 1998. As the touring progressed, the rest of the members started to bring their own music into the band's live repetoire, and the new sound that was created by all of the members was a little edgier than that of the Nathan Whitt's solo projects, thus the band changed its name to "Chief's Tale". Since the inception of Chief's Tale in 1997, the band has been touring the country and turning heads at every show. The band is currently working on its first full length album, which will be Nathan's third. |

Press Reviews
"Rumbling's about Nathan Whitt began as soon as this young man hit the looping Columbus (Ohio) music scene armed with an acoustic guitar and trailing jewels for lyrics, Whitt has now reached a sort of pinnacle within the scene"- THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH"------This is the best, I repeat, the best alternative band I've seen. Ever! The group energy is outrageous with drive that reminds me of Led Zepplin, and there is no fear of chords here. I envision performances on Saturday Night Live and Leno." -Valerie Ridenour of KEY WEST THE NEWSPAPER ------"If you are one of those people who likes to say you were into an artist before they broke big, better order up now."-Rusty Russell of Nashville 's MUSIC ROW MAGAZINE------ "If you hear that Chief's Tale is playing within 100 miles of you, go see them. It will be well worth the trip!"-Chicago's FRESH TRACKS: MUSIC ON THE VERGE |
