Artist description
Ausura's music is what I term "Hop R&B" with a little "Rap". Ausura(aah-sue-rah) takes a diferrent approach to lyrical structure and content. When you hear Ausura you can hear and feel that Memphis horn section,(Otis Redding, Sam and Dave) that really puts the spice in R&B. But you'll also hear some down home blues like Johnny Taylor and ZZ Hill mixed in with a little modern "Hip Hop", which gives R&B somewhat of a new and exciting flavor. The 'Hip Hop" really rings true with all the upbeat songs. As for the "Rap", when the "baby boomer" kids hear this rap, they'll be able to feel the vibe as well as relate to the rap itself. |

Artist History
Born in Mobile, raised in Dallas, became a man in Chicago. These travels and experiences are all expressed in the musical style of Ausura. "I cannot truly say how this taste or urge to express love evolved. Maybe it was those fun days of singing the Gospels as a kid, while growing up in Mobile. Or perhaps it was those special experiences life places on us. In Dallas Texas I had many of these experiences. But however, the music was always there as a way of expression for me.Ultimately, it was during those wonderful days in Chi Town that I had to express these feelings to the world. It was in Chicago that I realized how wonderful the possibilty of being the writer, producer, arranger all in one, could be. This CD is a compilation of the thoughts and expression of Love going good, getting bad, and just nice to have around. I hope you'll like having the music around as well. Hotep |
