Artist History Alone, however, a voice is often lost within the din - it requires a carefully textured map to find its pressure points an elicit the deepest sensory response - and that is where the five gifted musicians who carry her gift come into play. After five years of continual improvements with different vocalists on their first two recorded works, in late 1994 the group found the piece of the puzzle that had eluded them for so long in the form of Anneke, then a 21-year-old songstress who had also been searching for the right musical complement to match her rich delivery. The union was kismet from the beginning, and from there things developed so quickly the Dutch sextet barely had time to take a deep breath, and there hasn't been a moment's respite since.
