Artist History
Formed in 1995 in Dayton, Ohio. Salvador Deli have since played over 350 shows, including some shows with national acts. In response to local scene politics and not enough all ages venues. Group founders Ronnie Hall and Machel Hicks built their own scene by opening the doors to their rooftop gallery to start a chain of monthly all age's Rock-n-Roll blow outs called D.art hops. These Art Hops showcased bands from all across the country as well as paintings, poetry, fire eaters, bellydancers and more. The event outgrew the venue and eventually led to its demise. In March of 1997 Salvador Deli released their debut album on Red Dot Mined Candy/Cattleprod Recordings label. The band spent some time touring the east coast to help promote the album, even taking their music to NYC's famed CBGB's. Presently the band is hard at work on their second album. The album is being recorded in a few different studios. The most current being Backstage studio's located in Covington, KY. The release of the sophmore CD is slated for Spring of 2000.
