Press Reviews
From the guitar-based 60’s and 70’s through the diverse and retro 00’s, (from the Beatles and Byrds through Beck and Radiohead) Gill writes story-oriented songs and supporting harmonic counterweights that pack a punch. An avid admirer and consumer of: XTC, Echo & the Bunnnymen, The Smiths, Giants, Joni Mitchell, Bowie, and Peter Gabriel; he also greatly admires the work of John Lennon and Elvis Costello. He’s nicely confused - one might say. He's a solo artist, singer/songwriter who enjoys the continual process of learning the art of storytelling through music with others. It's a respectful craft he's been studying for some time.
