Artist History
MungBeanDemon was formed in 1994 by Andy(guitar) and Lon(bass),the band wasn't complete until 1995 with the addition of Finny(vocals)and Andrew(drums). The next year was spent fine tuning their unmistakablesound and playing shows around the Western NY area. Their 1996 demo, "Yukmouth"helped the band create a local following and presented them the chance to open fornational acts. In 1997 they returned to the studio to record their first cd, "Unresolved"The thirteen track disc showcased MungBeanDemons undeniable talent and caustic sound. Receivingpositive reviews from local and national zines and radio stations, "Unresolved" helped the bandgain a stronger foothold in the underground scene. 1998 has seen the addition of Erik(guitar)and another return to the studio to record a two song demo tape. MungBeanDemon is currently working on writing new material, setting up a web page and getting the MungBeandemon name heard. |

Press Reviews
MungBeanDemon come out of the gate with all guns firing as they blaze into a funked out speed/grind fusion with the hoarse, screaming vocals of Finny raging atop it all. Reminding me of a faster and jazzier version of EYEHATEGOD or BUZZOV-EN, these boys are pretty original and definitely entertaining. (Metal Maniacs) This is the heaviest shit I've heard in ages,cat-rape vocals, guitars that go faster than an AIDS patient running from the grim reaper, great sick acid-hit art, this is a crudcore release at it's finest. This will crush you. (The Flashing Astonisher)This Rochester band is very fresh, I like the way they mix it up, it's hardcore, heavy and dirty but it's weird alt. math rock? I don't know what they call it, but it's fresh, new and I love it.(The Worm Hole) Very bizarre music here. The vox are kind of grind, then they go into some weird funky jazz thing. I can't figure out where these Rochester freaks are trying to go. Strange and different. (Punk Planet) Weird that I'd seen these guys three times and didn't even know they had a cd coming out. F*cking weird lyrics that I can't even begin to describe. They go with the f*ucked up music, however. This is a good break from what I usually listen to. F*cking weird that as I sat listening to this I thought, gee, it would be funny if they had ska parts, and then they go and do a reggae part! I'd have to say MungBeanDemon is the best band Rochester has to offer right now, but I'd be lying if I said everybody reading this would like them. I could be wrong, but most people are too closed minded to leave their faction ofthe HC scene and find something different. That's what I like about MungBeanDemon, they're different.
