Artist History
Junkie was born in the summer of 1997 in Brooklyn, NY. What started out as a one-man recording project has spread like heroin under skin to form into the shape of a band. Junkie has performed in NYC and Chicago as has been known to literally bleed onstage. Ex-band members are to be found amongst real rock stars and the homeless. Behind the doors, recordings are entirely self-performed and self-produced, and released with great love and care by our friends at Bombco Records. Junkie is prepared at any moment to sell out to the man and perform song and dance routines with Britney Spears, provided that we get to go on MTV, smoke cigarettes and proclaim "Voting is for losers!" Junkie beleives music should be free and anyone anywhere is encouraged to rip and redistribute songs, and anyone who thinks artists are getting ripped off by online trading are unimaginitive luddites. Junkie gives away CDs at shows. If you put your Junkie CD into your PC and check the CDDB they'll recognize it. If you gave us a dollar for every label that's ever expressed interest we'd have about seven dollars. |
