Artist description
The nine piece band has been recording and playing together for over a year. Their goal is simple and straightforward: To convince the world that it is too full of itself and encite riots on local cleaning outlets. The songs that they play were all stolen by up and coming superstars who they tortured and subjected to hours of cofee and sleeping pills. When the band is being original they decide not to play. The band currently resides in Boston, where the headquaters of Windark (their label)are located. If anyone is interested in booking the band for dates of any sort or nature please call Donald Brewington at 617-536-1548. We've had some problems in the past so let's clear one thing up: This does not mean childrens parties, our lead singer likes to show off his testicles and this is highly innappropriate for young children. Anyway, if you listen to this band you'll either go break into to you local cleaners or get a headache, either way we'll have suceeded, so help us out and check out a track or two. |

Artist History
On New Years of 1999 Eric Lipper and Mike Solomons impovised "The Ballad of Barbie and Ken" for an audience of 400 in New York City. Having both been involved in many projects and bands previously and both having attended music school the result was in one spectators words, "Mind Blowing." As Mike spat out the opening lines, "It was the day that the Barbies came alive!"... The Monsoons were born. The band expanded its talent a month later and officially formed adding the guitarists Omar Chowdhury, Timmy Dodson and Russ Cowen. Powerful and crafty world famous drummer Wes Medeiros augmented the band and they began a series of studio sessions which would become the band's first demo. Also at these sessions were Rob Schmidt and Bill Kelter who played guitar and stick respectively (They both sung). Soon it became obvious to everyone involved that the band would someday become a force to be reckoned with in the music community of the world. While their sound was definitely new and modern sounding the raw power of a band who recorded everything live without overdubs and fancy studio techniques gave the band's sound a fresh and decidely real texture. The songs were stories and lyricist and lead singer Mike Solomons began to create a fantasy world with characters so outrageous and unreal yet suprisingly satiric in their presence. |
