Artist History
After meeting at a party above Bangkok slums in 1997, Zac Smakt! joined Monks on Fire members Helium, Captain Quirk, and Bloody Rich Baker for a jam at Metal Heart Studio. A year later, Smakt! and Helium met The Computer in Zac's basement, where all three began recording the CD "Cobra Children".
Zac Smakt! won a national guitar contest at 16, gigged around Oregon, and produced Thai alt rock hero Audi in Bangkok. He is currently pictured on millions of Close-Up toothpaste boxes across Asia.
Helium has heliosmakt with Blankey Jet City in Japan, Crystal Butterfly in China, Emperor in Burma, and Rang Rockestra in Thailand. Reported on wars in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, East Timor for AP and others. Played the richest man in South America in Thai on TV series "Amnaat" (Authority).
The Computer is an overclocked Celeron 450. It has worked with Emagic Logic Audio and Sonic Foundry music software for several years, and has been proven to be a tireless and extremely accurate drummer. It first met Smakt! and Helium in its home of Eugene, Oregon, USA. Plays major songwriting role and doubles as a Quake III server.
