Artist History
Miko, former lead vocalist of the group BRONZE, has captured audiences from all ages, races, and backgrounds while performing at events which include: singing the National Anthem for the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers,( exhibition, regular season, and playoff games), NBA Detroit Pistons, WNBA Cleveland Rockers, MLB Cleveland Indians and numerous other sporting teams throughout the Ohio area. She has showcased her vocal and performance talents for celebrity events sponsored by Cameron Productions, Diamond Productions First Friday events, and Ceasar B Productions. Miko, who is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, has performed for numerous sorority and fraternity functions while also opening up for groups including National Hip-Hop recording artist ; Dead Prez, Jazz sensation; Russell Thompson, R&B group; Smooth Approach, and Rapper Q-Nice. While she's made her presence known through the musical stage, Miko has been featured in print including Cleveland Life Magazine's story highlighting Cleveland's Future Stars, WZAK 93.1FM "People of Cleveland" calendar, and various other local news publications focusing on her musical accomplishments. This classy lady is not only talented, but educated. She earned a B.A. degree in Policy Studies from Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY and spent time dancing on an entertainment level for the Syracuse men's basketball team. The new millinium has brought events including performances at "Super Bowl Friday" hosted by Greg Cameron, Anthony Blaylock, and Olympic champion Gayle Deavers at the Roxy Coca-Cola Theatre during Super Bowl 2000 and MTV's "TRL Big Deal" competition held in San Diego, California. In addition to her many musical performances, Miko has made her way to the theatrical scene by starring in productions including "Nursing Melodies" and "Q-Pid's Arrow". "Nursing Melodies" featured songs written and produced by Grammy Award Nominee Geoff Thurman, music by Ira Gilroy, Jr. (Musical Director for the Gap Band), and Mike Jackson (former Musical Director for the Gap Band). Miko was featured in a leading musical role in Dream Excitement's production of Q-pid's Arrow. Miko's other credits include song writing, vocal arranging, producing, and choreographing. |
