Artist description When I'm not busy working on the KickAss Martians live show, or recording new music with some of my other projects, I try to stay busy writing new material for this web page. The songs that end up here may be from a variety of musical genres, but they all appeal to me for various reasons. I tend to prefer electronic sounds in my music. I also like my music to have a defineable beat. I am trying to use less and less guitar in my solo work, mostly because I think that Cock McConnel's guitar really distinguishes KickAss Martians music. I really enjoy the songwriting process, as well as making the recording. Artist History Albert Thorn got his start in professional audio production in 1994 doing music and sound effects for NW theatrical productions. Since that time, he has built up an impressive resume working on a variety of music, film and video, radio, multimedia, and internet audio projects.In 1998, he completed work on the KickAss Martians album HARD POP, which was a reluctant collaboration between Thorn and guitarist/songwriter Cock McConnell. The personality clashes between Thorn and McConnell resulted in an amazing fusion of angst and suffering that made HARD POP more than the sum of its constituents.
