Artist History The Riddles are a no-nonsense rock band that places its emphasis on fast-paced, hook-filled songs that are melodically strong and have a jagged feel to them. The Riddles came onto the Los Angeles scene in the mid-90's and have been making their way ever since. The Riddles have been described as "...a lion caged at the heart of a Mardi Gras fiasco..." by the West Coast culture magazine Nightmoves and "...the B-52's meet Seattle Grunge...", by L.A.'s Music Connection. Fans who see The Riddles are treated to one of the hottest, loudest, most explosive shows in Rock-n-Roll today....anywhere. Relix Magazine says "...the guys have strong, commercial potential, especially with radio friendly songs such as 'Oh Millennia'and 'Zodiac Heart Attack'. It also sounds like a fun band to see live given the energy it puts into its music...". The Aquarian Weekly said "...this is the one CD you should own...". The Riddles self-titled debut album follows on the heels of their independent EP, THE RIDDLES. Following the release of their EP, The Riddles appeared in Warner Bros. Television's "77 Sunset Strip" performing their earlier songs Liquid Sky and Comeback Cathy at the House of Blues in Los Angeles. While working with Warner Bros., The Riddles were introduced to Virgin Records artist/producer Dez Roc who produced the single Zodiac Heart-Attack with its B-side Irresistible Impulse. College Radio fans in the U.S. have enjoyed The Riddles first full-length release with its many radio friendly singles including Oh Millennia, Everybody's Lookin' Out For Me, and the dark You Were My Vietnam.
