Artist History Josh Van Ausdale (guitar) and Jared Van Ausdale (bass) founded the band after the two broke ties with their first band, Mondays Ego. Justin Van Ausdale, who had done vocals in the later days of Mondays Ego, took on the lead vocal duties for RHSC at the inception of the band. RHSC formed as "Redheaded Stepchild" in the fall of 1999 in Napoleon, Ohio. After "differences" emerged within the band, the orginal drummer left. Upon overhearing a conversation between band members, Cleveland native Joe Davis decided to join the 3 Van Ausdale brothers as the bands' new drummer. RHSC has since performed in various settings in many cities, as well as writing their own new orginals. In the fall of 2002, their first EP, Late Nights, Stupid Fights, was released. In early 2003, the band offically shortened their name to RHSC. Following the name change, the band kicked into high gear playing an average of 3 shows every week in February, March, and April througout Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. In April of 2003, RHSC went into the studio and recorded 9 new songs for the upcoming album, "My Life Versus Yours." The album is set to be released in early June.
