Artist description With a rich, organic sound, Man Behind The Curtain is a high-energy acoustic rock group that combines catchy lyrics and guitar riffs, imaginative bass lines, and innovative drum beats. The songs themselves are infectious, but when performed by the dynamic three-piece, they become unstoppable. The band started in 2002 when bassist Doug Shaffer was asked to join Matt Weisers solo shows to help fill in the emptiness of a guitar and vocals only set. As the two rehearsed the songs and played some shows the need for a drummer to finish out the line up quickly arose. By February Alex Sin had filled those shoes. With all three coming from different music backgrounds (Matt: Rock and Roll, Doug: Rock and Motown, and Alex: Math Rock) the band was able to find a common thread and managed to tie up all the loose ends and produce their unique sound.
