After a couple months, J.B. went back into the studio and wrote a song called “U Don’t Know”. This song featured two of the hottest R&B singers in Lawton and was dedicated to those who have loss someone close to them. In August of 2001, “U Don’t Know” received a one hundred percent jam on KJMZ’s slam it or jam it. That was the day the radio station decided to give other local artist a chance to be heard. The dj, who aired the song, like it so much that she asked J.B. and the singers to do two intro’s for her radio show. The dj aired the two intro’s from August of 2001-May of 2002.

In July of 2002, J.B. and Nate were announced as the winners of the Heineken commercial contest for the whole Chicago area. Their prize from the contest was an all expense paid trip to the 2002 Billboard Music Awards/Conference in Miami, Florida at the Roney Palace.

Local Love is a part of their station where they take three songs from some of the tightest local artist in Denver and play them over the air for a chance to be heard or for a chance to be the opening act in a concert. J.B. is a very determined individual and knows what he wants out of this career. If he stays focused he may be the next hip-hop/rap superstar to lookout for.
