Artist History The band was originally named Day by Day, and was started by Chris Tagseth, Tyler Mehan, and Tyler Sessions. Things fell through when Chris left to become a Marine. In the wake of his absence, the Tylers went on to form a band called Sandra Lane. Meanwhile, Chris was still writing and perfecting his music. Chris returned home and the old musical chemistry between him and Tyler Mehan was reborn. Along with Tyler, Chris inheritted Sandra Lane's drummer Brian. Thus, Last-Rites was born. Music is our life...Each one of us is driven by an internal beat. We try to tell stories with each song, and hopefully we are successful. When you listen, try to lose yourself in every note.
