    Artist History
The Reflection/The Reflection A.O.B./ The Reflection 7 The nucleus of The Reflection was formed in November 1983 when Richard, Stuart and Ian were playing in a band called New England. In February 1985 brass was added to the line-up when Wiggy and Barney joined the group. Harks entered the scene in March of the same year when the band's singer/ guitarist left. The band name was changed to The Reflection. We played our first gig at a local church hall in April 85, and then continued to play regularly at pubs and clubs around our local area and in London. In November 85 we released a 7 track demo cassette called "No Compromise". Matt joined in February 86. In August we played 9 gigs in Northern Italy as part of a trip organised by Essex County Council. Sarah joined in October. On the 1st November we released a 4 track 12" single - "Only In My Dreams" - to worldwide indifference. Later that month we recorded a track called "All I Want To Be" for the forthcoming Countdown compilation album "Smashing Time". At some point during 86 we changed our name to The Reflection A.O.B. This stood for "Agents Of Brass" and was an in-band joke but it was a damn foolish idea! In March 87 we recorded another track for a Countdown compilation. The track was called "Trapped In Time" and the album was called "The Final Countdown". On the 4th April we gave our first, and only, radio interview on BBC Radio Essex with DJ Andy Taylor. Having decided to quit the band Ian and Barney played their farewell gig in Weymouth on the 22nd May. The following month Rocky joined as Ian's replacement. On the 28th June we recorded 2 songs - "Paint Some Colour (Break Them Down)" and "Stand Up And Believe It". The tracks were never released. Sensibly we changed our name to The Reflection 7. On the 11th September we played our final gig at The Fox in Palmers Green. Harks left to pursue a non-existent solo career and the remaining band members recruited a new guitarist and continued life as The Scream Team. The End. PS Matt and Sarah. Are you there? Get in touch if you are as Stuart has pots of cash for you!! touch.
