Artist description
Once in a while, you will come across one of
lifes genuinely nice people. Luckily for you,
you have just came across Five of them, and
theyre all in the same band. Starting off as a
"one off" band for a jubilee party (Yes, thats
where the name came from!) The band has changed
many times in a short while to get to this more
stable permenant line up. Taking influences from
their favourite bands such as Finch, The Starting
Line and GlassJaw, One Night Stand fuse Emo,
Punk and Hardcore to make a very interesting,
intense and unique listen. |

Artist History
One Night Stand formed in the summer of 2002,
when Rich Hughes and Jamie Cooper, who had played
together in previous bands, were asked to put on
a show for a street party celebrating the golden
jubilee. Recruiting friends and local musicians,
they played a set of covers for the street party.
Rich and Jamie decided they wanted to carry on
with the band after the show, and a major line up
shift was in order. New members were Alex Popham
on Drums, Matt Owen on lead vocals and Sam Drower
on Bass Guitar. One Night Stand have since worked
very hard, played lots of gigs whenever they can
and recorded a CD with acclaimed producer Matt
Sampson. Dispite their tender age (all members
are between 16 and 18) One Night Stand have still
managed to play some top Bristol venues such as
The Louisiana, Lakota Club and The Croft. |
