Artist History
"He's an f'n genius," friends joke. He doesn't believe it, but it' true. He of course is the guitar and songwriting brains behind Audrey and The
Honor Roll. He is Tim Thomas.
Thomas hails from Atlanta, Georgia where he spent time fronting Veteran's Radio, hanging out with Luxury and Dashboard Confessional,
and playing shows around the south. After a year in Dayton, Ohio of getting married and playing with Mike Ruetschle, Thomas and his wife
Alison are in Seattle, writing and putting together the line-up for The Honor Roll and Audrey. What's the difference between the two? Different
personalities. The math rock side of Thomas is to be restricted to songs for The Honor Roll. The "shoegaze never should have gone out of style"
side of Thomas will come out in the context of Audrey. Oh, and he loves Twin Peaks, if you get the ode.
If you have the chance, catch one of his occasional impromptu sessions. His memory is bad. He hates routine. And so when he wings it, he
comes up with the most beautiful, sad, and humorous songs imagineable. Off the seat of his pants, he creates better work than most bands
create during a three-month recording session.
So for the diverse range of fans of Pedro the Lion, Roadside Monument, All American Football, The Casket Lottery, and even My Bloody
Valentine, keep tabs of Tim Thomas, cause he's a genius. |
