Artist History
crack rock asteroids began in the summer of 1993 in riverside, an artist community of jacksonville florida, by chris spohn, collin mcsheehy, and chris phillips.
switching instruments regularly, and finding more new niches every waking hour of every minute of every day, the "c.r.a." quickly became the most talked about,
sought after, and most abstract gathering of musicians to ever assemble in jacksonville. With band members "coming and going" it is no wonder that the band took on
so many different persuits. music and appearence altered frequently, giving c.r.a. an extremely wide audience of all ages, religions, ethnicity, and orientation.
other band members soon to join and experience this collaboration of talents were; micheal mead, chris patterson, chris butts, david tillman, david kirk, witt, john rauche,
johnny sharp, and dancers and performers who will be left unmentioned.
drum circles and jam sessions invoked the calling of this underground society of spirituallity, giving the band a more raw, natural, and FREE outlook on music.
every show that c.r.a. put on was filled with surprizes; candies, noise makers, fire~crackers, indian food, toys, the scent of incence, and the infamous "tribal freak~outs...
the burning of a scarecrow in the crowd at "club 5" (now called marque theatre) is still one of the most memorable and talked about performances to ever have taken place in jacksonville...
( a special thanx to chris spohn for making this possible, and helping to expand the mind of everyone around him...Thanks, and be blessed... Collin Mcsheehy) |
