Artist History
Rock Bridge Arson has been a functioning music act since the fall of 2001. From a meeting with the infamous Josh, Matt and Colin began forming the crude beginnings of a long story filled with danger, greed, anger, love, hate, murder, and impending glory. Rock Bridge Arson (then under the alias Runner Up) played its first show on Friday, July 19th in Great Bend, Kansas. The venue was a teen center called U-turn. The lineup featured Love Handles, Once Called Saul, Stuck in Neutral and the leadoff act Rock Bridge Arson. With a great turnout of hobos, bikers, and broads RBA blasted through a tight set and started what was to be an amazing career. On September 5th, 2002, RBA played a show at the local courthouse band shell in Jack Kilby Square. With fresh material and brand spankin' new guitars they sounded revived and renewed. After the complete and utter destruction of a fancy sound system, and dollars worth of stolen bottled water, our heros were immediately ejected from the Jack Kilby square and fined 15 U.S. dollars. After the band shell scandal, the band pressed on and played several successful local shows until the fateful night when drummer Colin Imashoe took his final bow and moved out to "get his head together." "It seemed like my life was turning upside down. The women, the parties, the booze. I couldn't do it anymore." Colin says of his life with the band. After a brief period of hate mail and death threats, Colin reluctently stepped up and accepted the call to join the Rock Bridge Arson team again. His goth style and blues/jazz background meshed perfectly again with the band. A year after they originally formed, RBA's motive and goal remains the same: write crappy songs about love, hate, anguish and despair and continue on the ever long road to stardom and inevitable world domination. |
