Artist History
Overflow was started by vocalist/guitarist (virtuoso?)Blair Neiswender. Blair has written well over one hundred songs and was looking for a band to fill out his musical arangements. Enter Phil and Tyler. Phil quickly provided a more than adequate low-end rumble and calmly displayed his proficiency at using the entire fretboard of his bass guitar. Tyler brought the rhythm and groove of the songs to life on the drumset. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. In the summer of 2002 Tyler left Overflow to join local hard rock outfit, Unsketched (check 'em out sometime!). Without a drummer Blair thought that his dream of having a band had disolved. But we all know that God is bigger than that. Tyler's friend Matt had attended one practice to possibly play synthesizers for Overflow. He got wind of Tyler's departure and promptly phoned Blair to see if he wanted him to take over the drumming duties. Blair said "sure" and the rest is history... Well, not quite. Overflow started playing shows at various churches in the Baltimore metropolitan area this spring, and has now begun to aquire a small following. Blair and Matt are hoping to go full time with Overflow in the near future; God willing, of course... |
