Artist description
Laybo's history is really quite unglamorous. It's really just 5 high school students (Ryan, Brian, Logan, Grayson, and Fraser) in a crap town who love music and are trying to stay entertained. They are trying towards new sound equipment for the summer as well as a new set of drums for Grayson. The band continues to grow in popularity and respect as time goes with a style that doesn't sound quite like anyone else.
It all really started in early 2002 when 2 high school students, (Brian Kormos & Logan Collins) were looking at guitars in Unitech. It was there that Brian vowed to buy his own guitar and they'd kill their boredom by playing cover songs in their basements. Brian soon purchased his Fender Squier and with Logan's Fender bass, boredom was a fading memory. This duo soon turned into the possibility of a band when Grayson Peters joined the line-up in July as the new drummer. The next month was less than was expected as they realized none of them could sing. In September Ryan Doupe also joined the line-up as rhythm guitarist. Rhythm guitar and singing became a package deal as they all discovered that finding a singer wasn't easy. Now the entire band needed was a name. Soon after at a party someone made a joke about a Playboy shirt with the P and the Y convered, a friend yelled "Laybo", Brian laughed, and Laybo was formed. Since then they've played live at two talent shows, youth week, and at several parties, including their own after grad. The recent addition of their new singer, (Fraser Cameron) has left the band strongly considering hitting up the recording studio soon to cut a demo CD.
