    Artist History
With the existing crisis found in main stream music, there needed to be a change. To Friendship For Style the answer seemed clear. There were many parts, all just waiting to be pieced together. The heavy yet heartfelt inspired music of hardcore mixed with the emotive voice of singers who really can convey feelings through sound and voice. FFS struggled to form in an era of generic nu-metal and processed voices, coming up with intense, inspiring, and intelligent music with a voice that is real, a voice that can be understood and related to, a voice in which the feelings of passion can be felt. Taking leads from underground hardcore, fervor filled vocalists, and adding a melodic awareness, FFS has come up with an innovative hybrid; aggression in an easy to swallow form. They bring music back to where it started, writing meaningful songs that are more musical orchestrations rather than just a cheap hook that will sell. Six months in the making, FFS's journey has not been quick in coming. First the music had to develop, drawing influences from hardcore, emo, punk, basically everywhere. FFS saw what was being done and took the next logical step, refining what they believed to be the best parts of each. Once the idea behind the music was in place, the seemingly endless search for the perfect members began. The base of FFS was had been set: Ryan Cunningham (vocals), Rafael Gallo (guitar), and Matt Warner (bass), but more was needed to complete the band. With tryouts lasting the entire Cleveland winter, the core of FFS played with over 20 individuals, looking for the crucial people. After months of auditions, a light was found in Bobby Mariumpura (guitar). With a newly refreshed sense of purpose, the songwriting began again. Still drummer less, the drive continued to push the band musically. The musical idea was becoming more apparent but when signs of hope's abandonment surfaced yet again, a drummer had to be found. After extremely concentrated searching and tryouts, the final, completing piece was found, Mike Gump (drums). As soon as the first song was played with this set of individuals, the once musical idea became a reality, filling the air with excitation, hope, and reassurance.
