Artist History
As the world burns around you, and as the flames succumb, from the ashes the Phoenix rises with theBLACK MARIA in its clutches; to destroy the sullen, and revive the planets cold dead heart.
theBLACK MARIA - taking its name from the slang term given to a Police patrol wagon ( simply known as the deliverer of death ), is comprised of five intensely gifted individuals, with an impressive history. Following the implosion of the genre defining GRADE, its mastermind, and creative leader Kyle Bishop roamed the netherworld. Here he joined forces with Alan Nacinovic, axe wielder of the critically acclaimed mammoth wall of sound ZYON, and profound vocal virtuoso Chris Gray of Loveless One, Zyon and New Day Rising. Completing the ranks, a groove laden rhythm section that can shatter the bones of the God's, with "the machine" Derek Petrella on drums (ZYON), and slick fingered multi-instrumentalist Mike DeEyre ( Louis Mistreated ) on Bass.
theBLACK MARIA are uncompromising in their approach. A sexy, intense, melodic, hook ridden, audio jackhammer, that will inject testosterone/ gasoline fueled rages into the most modest of people.
Veterans of the stage, their live show speaks for itself - passion, rage, and the scars of the soul, squeeze out of every cell, benumbing its audience. With a grand past, and a fanatical following of their previous endeavors, theBLACK MARIA is not what you'd expect. This monster is already stirring the pot with its infectious sound; theBLACK MARIA is relentless and will not slow down for even death itself.
Get in.
