Artist description
We are five dudes right now cause we have a new bassist and an old one who has been in the band 2 and half years but is leaving us at the end of this summer to go to Santa Barbara, CA for Grad school. He is going to be a professor in evolutionary psychology. Email him from our website if you want to know more about that stuff(he is Andy Delton). We are all pretty chill. We really love playing our music like most bands but we also like getting people into it at shows. So because of that we go CRAZY at shows. We definitely try to fill the venue with as much energy as possible. Usually after every show we need a neckrub from soo much rockin and we hope the peeps at the shows do too! There is a little more info on us at our website but you can also email all of us and ask us anything! |

Artist History
We have been a band for 2 and a half years. We all have been playing music for a while and both had bands splitting up at the same time. So we all decided to jam one day and we really connected. We were called Slowpoke up until about 2 months ago when we changed our name to Mourning Maxwell for legal reasons (another band with the same name). We got 3rd place in the Ernie Ball Battle of Bands last year. We got tons of new equipment, lots of press, our name and picture in Guitar World Magazine, and we got to play a date of warped tour. It was pretty bad ass. We are about to start touring(warped) a lot this summer and full time next spring so if your from outside Arizona keep an eye out for our shows out that way! We released our first debut album May 2002. Since then we have matured a lot as musicians and you if you have heard the album and now the new song "I'm Sorry Me" you will definitely be able to tell a difference. We found out our bassist was going to leave a couple months ago so we searched and found a really cool dude, Ryan Miller. He was in another band called A Familiar Blue, who is still rockin so check em out on Mp3.com if you have a chance. Well the rest lays in front of us so Rock and Roll! |
