    Artist description
One thing you must know before listening to any of these songs is that WSBS are a "one-take band"... at the most any song they have recorded may have been given two minutes preparation prior to its "one-take". Striving on spontaneity, WSBS is pushing "electronic music" to the garage... or, in this case, mostly the basement. All of their humor and ideas are and always will be totally from an inside source. Quite possibly a book in the future may reveal the mind matter behind some of the works they have completed, but it is not promising since only one member is literate. The Unfortunate matter: all of the songs they have produced were recorded analog (Yikes!!!) and that means what you hear was vigorously digtitally reconstructed by the George Lucas's DHX team. So any songs in the future will have much more sonic depth.
    Music Style
Take the lyrical ingenuity of the Mute Jones, the catchy hooks of Captain Coathanger, the emotional angst of Sweater, the industrial groove of Wrought Iron Beam Bender, and the world-fusion feel of High Holding Hands Band and you're pretty close.
    Musical Influences
Boredoms, the Residents, the moops, The Moog Cookbook, Jesus Lizard, Mr. Bungle, A.C., Melvins, Butthole Surfers, Secret Chiefs 3, Ween, Zip Code Rapists, Brutal Juice, KLF, the Ventures, DEVO and Roger Woodbine (formerly of "Pot Band")

    Artist History
First, a man beat. This became the drum. Then another man plucked the string. This was the birth. Then a man went to the beach. He soaked up sun for a while and found a seashell conch. He blew. Then the last little man wandered into the dark. He tripped. Why don't you?

    Press Reviews
"The worst sounding auditory entanglement short of putting a mic up a whale's ass. Suspicions are strong that they use this as a new micing technique. Loud flatulence in church is better received than this band's efforts - rightfully so!" - Q Cue... "PLEASE don't base opinions of the Baltimore music scene on these incompetent retards. Their mothers should have beaten them more - MUCH more." - Anonymous... "The most alternative band on campus."-Dorrian Cole... "Whoa I listened to you guys and I got real exicited. You know who you sound like. Faxed Haed a band form San Francisco that my brother got a record of when he wasthere. They are real crazy. There sound is a lot like you guys but not with asmuch keyboards and stuff. It's a lot more like when my brother got home and burned me on fire. I smelled like a burning kid with band-aids on." -DJ Chub... "THE MOST PLAYED OUT BAND OF THE LAST DECADE" - Music Review (Jan '00)... "Thats Fucking Bullshit Man! Fight Club DID NOT make that much money!" - Peter Jennings... "Best New Wave Band In Baltimore" - City Paper...
