Artist description
Sparrow Saturday is composed of two kids from the suburb who bring schizophrenic-like influences, ranging from singer/guitarist Sharon's love of melodic, harmony-soaring power pop in the vein of Jellyfish and the Beach Boys, to the beautiful cheesiness of 80's teen idols The New Kids on the Block, to drummer Jim's Chick Corea and Mingus-infested jazz sensibilites. This odd mix of influences result in three and a half minute, sugar-coated, schizoprenic outbursts that will hopefully put a smile on your face. (Or make you cry hysterically...either one.) |
