    Artist description
Pets Gone Wild play plugged-in, turned-on and dropped-out folk music. No,it's not acoustic guitars and goatees,it's computers and five o'clock shadows. We're as likely to play a jingle as we are to play jungle. Advertising, spoken words, glorious melodies, screaming guitars, shredded symphonies, and the boom-chick of the lowliest drum box are as likely to be heard as a three minute pop song. In fact, they're all likely to be a part of what we think of as a three minute pop song. We mine for our music, sampling not only natural sounds and the noises we can make ourselves, but two thousand years of literature and one hundred years of sound and picture recording. Our Diva, Jinny Royer, leads the way with a beauteous voice that is not afraid to tell a tale of terror. Guitars and keyboards flow from the fingers of Dana Masssie, Steve Deeble and now Brian Clark, horns by Charlie Crummer and Scott Harris, while Rick Kleffel is not afraid to speak unless he's busy administering a complex web of digital, analog and kitchen synthesis. Our live show is an exponential expansion of what you hear from your speakers -- not just a string of songs, but a self-satirizing self-help seminar that has mutated after exposure to harsh atomic radiation into Goth-Rock vaudeville with a dollop of hard science to keep the audience off-balance but enormously entertained. Find out more about the band, read the interview with Pamela Zero in the March 1st edition of Ctrl-Alt-Zine.

    Press Reviews
Everyday issues and concerns wrapped in music and topped with the unique, compelling voice of Jinny Royer. Rick Kleffel, Steve Deeble and Dana Massie complete the ensemble and their instrument list includes 2 children and a Black & Decker handymixer. Pets Gone Wild is an astounding band based in California- with musical styles ranging from psychedelic to dance to folk and usually all in the same song. Strong, intelligent songwriting is mixed with a deft, fearless approach towards experimentation in their arrangements. Check out "Heal" for the delightfully soul-pulling vocals and "Pets Gone Wild" for the sheer perceptiveness of the lyrics. Struck by the discrepancy between your wallet and your dreams, between children and intentions, between the walk to the office and the too bright blue sky? Pets Gone Wild is here, and they understand. - Zero (MP3Reviews.com)
